When you provide Wellington After Hours Veterinary Clinic (WAHVC) with personal
information, WAHVC are obliged to comply with the provisions of the Privacy Act 2020 (the
“Act”). We will collect, hold, use and disclose that information in accordance with the
principles set out in the Act. This means we will:
- Purpose of Information Use: Personal information is collected to provide after-hours
veterinary services. - Retention Period: WAHVC will retain personal information only for as long as necessary to
fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. - Disclosure to Third Parties: Personal information may be disclosed to third parties only
under certain circumstances, such as when required or permitted by law, with the
individual’s authorisation, or when it’s directly related to the purpose for which the
information was collected. Specifically, information and case histories will be shared with
the individual’s nominated primary veterinary clinic, and information regarding failure to
comply with payment or credit criteria may also be shared with the primary veterinary
practice.

and to request corrections if needed.
